Some of my earliest memories are in Flatbush: johnny pumps in the summer and sitting on my grandmother’s bedroom floor. Baltimore is where most of me was formed. Family, church, music, and a whole lot of growing up happened there.

I grew up knowing Jesus, but knowing Him didn’t keep my life from taking some turns I never expected. I walked away from God for a while, made decisions I wouldn’t make today, and eventually found my way back. Coming back didn’t magically make everything make sense, though. If anything, that’s where a different kind of growing started.

These days I’m in North Carolina. I’m writing, podcasting, building STAND Movement, and occasionally getting on a motorcycle when I need to clear my head. I’m still learning what faithfulness looks like in real life, and I’m still becoming the woman God is calling me to be.
